Applying for Medicare can be easier than you think! It takes less than 10 minutes.
If you are within three months of turning age 65 or older and ready to sign up just for Medicare, you can use below button that takes you to Social Security's official website, create an account and follow the links about applying for Medicare. If you prefer to take care of your Medicare application by phone, you can do that easily too! Contact Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 ( for TTY users, it’s 1-800-325-0778) and let the representative know that you would like to apply for Medicare. If you have Railroad Retirement, you can contact the U.S. Railroad Retirement Board at 1-877-772-5772.

Applying in person can be done by visiting the nearest Social Security office in your area. When you meet with a representative, ask for a printout that shows that you have applied for Medicare Part A & B. This form will give you all the information you need to move forward with your Medicare plan enrollment.

Original Medicare has gaps. There is additional coverage you can get to help with your out of pocket costs like a Medicare Advantage, Part D and Medicare Supplement Ins. plans. Remember that timing is everything so, let's work on this together.

Great! You've made it to this step. Now all you have to do is wait for your ID cards and welcome kit from plan(s) you applied for. We recommend you wait to cancel your current coverage you're replacing until you have confirmation or have received your new ID cards in the mail.
